Craig Walt is the Bureau Chief of Lead Safety and Community Development for the City of Lancaster. He oversees a variety of community development and housing programs, including the administration of the City’s Community Development Block Grant Program, Emergency Solutions Grant Program, HOME Investment Partnerships Program, and Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes Program. Additionally, Craig supports the Department of Community Planning and Economic Development’s planning and policy development initiatives related to health, housing, and community development.

Craig earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in public health from Temple University. Prior to joining the City of Lancaster, he worked in local public health where he implemented a variety of collaborative, cross-sector health initiatives aimed at addressing the social determinants of health including transportation, food access, and housing. Craig advocates for policy, systems, and environmental change strategies to promote healthy, sustainable, and equitable communities.
