Rachel Eck has lived in Cabbage Hill since 2013 and has been a SoWe board member since 2016. She founded the Friends of Culliton Park (then Friends of Farnum Park) with Andrea Miller and other Cabbage Hill neighbors in 2016 in order to address the crumbling infrastructure and lack of investment in what was then Farnum Park and to provide fun community events in the park. As chair of the Parks and Public Realm committee, she hopes to facilitate, along with committee members, productive and meaningful collaborations between community members and the city, as well as a commitment to further investments in neighborhood public spaces that can be accessed and enjoyed by all.
